- Being petite has its advantages, but when it comes to dressing up you really don’t want to wear something that makes you look shorter!

1. Embrace Monochromes
Wearing clothing with a single color. Wearing a single color clothing from head to toe creates an elongated figure. Too many colors and patterns make you look short and blocked.
2. Heels are your friend
Whether you want to add just a bit or a lot to your height, heeled shoes are the answers to your desires so you should embrace them. If you can’t walk in pin heels, go for wedges.3. High waist clothing
High waist pant, skirt, short or dresses create the illusion of longer legs and thus a more elongated figure.

4. Less Horizontal more Vertical
clothing with horizontal patterns will instantly make you look shorter than you already are, so instead, take advantage of clothes with vertical patterns, it works better for your stature.
5. The V-neck and You
Wear more of V-necked tops; v-necked cardigan, or halter top. Balance a horizontal neckline with a vertical element like vertical pin-stripes, pleating, or a long necklace.6. Less Baggy clothes
Stick with a fitted or relaxed style jean to accentuate your petite size. No baggy jeans, your legs will get lost in them. Knee length pants or 1/3s are not a good choice, go for hot pant or shorts. And for skirts and dresses, be sure to avoid midi, instead, go for mini or knee length. When rocking a Jumpsuit go for solid colors.
7. Accessories your size!
No large accessories for you! Wear small bags; choose bags with a relatively slim, vertical shape rather than chunky or wide styles. Thin color coordinated belts instead of wide belts in contrasting colors. Avoid large accessories such as large bags, chunky jewelry, and wide belts.
