Strangers on the throne is the hiphop translation of "creation
awaits the manifestation of the sons of God". Its a story of kings,War
and takeover. Amaayzeen yells "gotta say no! Gotta say no! Self esteem
can not be low" wait o! Gizzman actually did the beat for himself lol.
Guess he let us get in his zone. Lol
No weapons. One song we spent the most time writing. Infact we
had our leaders from other teams and departments teach us day after day
for one week straight on Isaiah 54 :17... BIK says "How can the created
of the creator, create anything that can harm the creator's creature/ cos
the legislature of nature has set a standard for created creatures/to
believe is the key...to know is the key to believe...
Son of God. I remember myself and Whitehouse seat behind a plate
of rice while writing the song. We had just gotten back from Church and
the person of Jesus was overwhelming us. Well, Edache Daniel's Grammy
beat was in my phone and...well... Judehks says "born in bethlehem,
came for rebellion, he is the victor, the devil is the villian"
My reward. Dj jason just mentioned to me that some other guy
just turned this beat down and I was like whaaaat!!! (This was about 4
years ago though lol). That was the best beat I had ever laid my hands
on at that time. I remember coming back all the way from North bank,
almost weeping while listening to the beat. Well, Boss Steps put the
hook down and yeah!!! Wiffi is on the track..."Who ever said You Only
Live Once is really blind/ and I pray the truth grants him an open eye/"
Locusts. Joel 2 please. Joel 2 please.
Something in your eyes. The dearest song to me of them all. It
was just before "Alnite in concert" and I sat in the silence, waiting for
a song (Shout out to Chapel) and boom! It came. This song is central to
the theme of the entire EP. The holy spirit is our comforter. Day3 says
"first time I saw you in your zone, you sat quiet/ and I didn't need a
prophet, there was more to the silence/i could tell in your eyes was
fear, inferiority and violence/ and a fight to tell a lie to ur immediate
environment/...
Halleluyah. We had SoulRhythm record the song. It was such a
blessing. At General House Meeting the other day, we were taught the
song and boy! We sang it over and over and over and it was never over.
Church Clothes. Pastor Nelson told us we were going to have
traditional saturday and in my heart I was like. "Men,we gotta do a rap
bout traditional stuff". Minutes later, Gizzman called me over in his
usual manner to listen to the new beat he had done the day before. I
named it church clothes. Well, traditional saturday came and there we
were, doing "church clothes"
Esmo says "church clothes, School clothes, House clothes, Suit coat/
whose code? You like wearing blue but me I love Gold/ whose holy? Am
not? You are righteous? Am lost? You are right? Am wrong? Cos of the
clothes that I put on?
Our Sound. Our assistant coordinator, Steps composed the song.
Brought over to the team as a special donation.lol. Indeed it is a
special one. Its the story of believers,of our fight of faith,of our
victory and of the gospel of christ jesus.
