2016 Easter – Friday 25th and Monday 28th of March have been declared by the Federal Government of Nigeria as public holidays.
Friday 25th was declared for Good Friday celebrations, while Monday 28th was marked out for Easter Monday festivities.

The public holidays were announced by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on Tuesday for the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau on behalf of the Federal Government.
