The Lagos State Governor Akinwunmni Ambode has decided to run the
rule by sacking the General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control
Agency, Adeigbe Olushola following the building collapse in Lekki which
claimed the life of at least 35 people a week ago.
Also shown the way out were three others including Head of Inspection and Quality Control in the agency, Adeoye Adeyemi; the Zonal District Officer in the agency, Dosunmu Gbadebo; while the Zonal Head of Eti-Osa West of the agency, Mrs. Akinde Sherifat, was retired from the civil service compulsorily.
The Lagos State Head of Service, Mrs. Olabowale Ademola, in a statement said the four affected persons were sacked after they were indicted for negligence which is an act of misconduct under the Public Service Rule 040401.
