Nemanja Vidic wants to manage Manchester United – Iconic Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has expressed a desire to one day be at club’s helm.
Vidic made over 200 appearances fo
r United between 2006 and 2014, winning 5 League titles and 1 UEFA Champions League trophy.
Speaking to BBC, Vidic revealed that though he wasn’t ready now, he would love to be the gaffer at his old club someday.
“If you ask any United player if they want to be manager one day, they will say ‘yes’,” he told BBC Sport. “But I am a long way from that.”
The Serbian defender also revealed his choice of the club’s next manager between Ryan Giggs and Jose Mourinho, with Louis Van Gaal most likely leaving the club in the summer.
“I like the idea of Giggsy, but Mourinho has had success in the past,” he said. “It’s a hard choice. Is Giggsy ready or not? He knows. The club knows. I believe they will have an honest conversation.”
