The Pharaohs of Egypt are doing all they can on and off the pitch to defeat the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Pharaohs
of Egypt face Nigeria at the Ahamdu Bello Stadium on Friday, March 25
with the return leg to be played in Alexandria on Tuesday, March 29.
Ahead of the game, the national team backroom staff and players on Monday, March 21 performed Zakat after training.
Zakat is in line with
the belief in Islam and was carried out at the Elhaddaf project where
they are training ahead of the clash with Nigeria. A bull was slaughter
during the activity.
The meat was later shared among the poor in Cairo metropolis who assured the team of their support.
The essence of the activity is to seek divine support for their team ahead of their clash with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The Pharaohs arrived Nigeria on Wednesday, March 23.
