The Comptroller-General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Martin Abeshi, has retired.
Mr. Abeshi was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari on August 27, 2015, after holding the position in an acting capacity for six days.
Mr. Abeshi is to be replaced by Muhammed Babandede, who will take over as interim Controller-General of Immigration.
Until his appointment, Mr. Babandede was in charge of the Operations and Passport Directorate of the service.
