Ladies Rocking Hijab (Malo-Chicks)

feature-image

I am not a Muslim but I would like to give a different view of hijabs.
It is a veil worn to cover the head, chest, arms and in some cases,
worn to cover the whole body.
Hijab is worn by Muslim women as a sign of decency and respect. This particular
veil can be worn in different ways as: turbans, burka, niqab, al amira & shyla.
So many people think wearing a hijab doesn’t allow you be stylish enough.
I used to think like that too, but not anymore as most of the world’s most
fashionable ladies are Muslim who use their veils.
These  ‘Hijabians’ as they are mostly called use their veils as a way
of letting their style speak for them.

Turkish Airline Plane blocked by Nigerians from leaving FCT (Photos)

Passengers at the Abuja Airpot blocked a Turkish Airline plane from leaving the runway a day ago. Passengers who have been at the airport for over 5 days without their luggage, finally reacted by blocking one of their planes, which they say will not leave Abuja until a solution is presented.

The Passengers said they got no information, and no announcements were made and Nigerians were stranded with their luggage missing at their airport and this forced some to spend their Christmas there.

President Buhari To Persuade 'BokoBoys' To Accept Peace

Nigerian army
President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that his administration intends to persuade Boko Haram members to allow peace reign in order to end the insurgency which has ravaged Northeastern Nigeria.

The president according to The Punch, made this disclosure on Friday, December 25, at the presidential villa in Abuja during the visit of a delegation led by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammadu Bello who paid him Christmas homage.
On how he intends to persuade the sect to embrace peace, Buhari said “this government is determined to make sure that we persuade them (Boko Haram) if they can be persuaded, we will use government institutions to persuade them to allow peace to reign”.
He however did not go into details on how he intends broker a peace deal with the sect which has been unleashing violence in some parts of the country.
Buhari said the country’s three biggest problems are security, unemployment of youths as well as bribery and corruption. He stressed that security plays an important role in the development of any society, noting that that there could not be any development without security.
He commended security agencies for their efforts to stamp out insurgency and called on Nigerians to continue to pray for them.
On those who have been displaced by the Boko Haram menace, he lamented that about “two million people who are Internally Displaced Persons and 70 per cent are women and 70 per cent of them are children, some of them are orphans; they grew up not knowing their parents, tradition or culture”.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammadu Bello, extolled Christians and Muslims to live in peace. He alluded to the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ which was coming a day after the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammed as a unique message to Christians and Muslims.
Other members of the delegation included the Senate President Bukola Saraki and some residents of residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
Meanwhile, President Buhari in an interview with the BBC has said Boko Haram could no longer mount “conventional attacks” against security forces or population centres.
He said the sect had been weakened to fighting with improvised explosives devices and remained a force only in its heartland of Borno state, the leader of the nation said.
In the same vein, the minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has urged journalists on how to report the news when stating that Nigeria is at war, saying that Nigeria army has met the deadline on Boko Haram.

Check out Christmas Tree That Cost N600 Million

The Imo state government has broken a record by erecting the tallest Christmas tree in Nigeria.
Christmas tree, decor are worth over N 600 million.
Earlier this month, Governor Rochas Okorocha reportedly approved N600 million for this Christmas tree and New Year decorations.
The cost is really shocking considering the fact that the state workers have not been paid salaries for several months.
Undoubtedly, the tree and its price have triggered emotional reactions among Nigerians who started blaming Governor Okorocha, appealing to his conscience.
Meanwhile, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, a former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, also criticized the governor for spending such huge sum of money on Christmas tree and decorations.
“It is ridiculous and indeed smacks of insensitivity for this government to spend over N600 million on decorations when families can no longer afford their meals and basic needs as a result of non-payment of salaries, pensions and other entitlements,” he noted.

FG Reduces Petrol Price To N85 Per Litre Next

The pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, will be reduced to N85 per liter on January 1 next year.
This information was announced by Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum CorporationCorporation (NNPC), during the meeting with journalists at the Port Hacourt Refinery Company (PHRC).
Asked about the exact date the price will become effective the Minister of State for Petroleum said: “Like I said before, we have done a modulation calculation and it is showing us below N87. I imagine that if PPPRA publishes it today, it will become effective immediately. But the 1st of January that is when we are looking at.”

He noted that government’s analysis and research showed that the country can fluctuate the fuel market in accordance with the crude oil market fundamentals. According to Kachikwu, the new price for the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulation Agency (PPPRA), was approved this Thursday.
Speaking about the Petroleum Support Fund removal, known as oil subsidy, he explained that it was a necessary step, as government can’t afford to subsidize the product following the fraud that has attended its operation.
Mr Kachikwu said: “It is out I signed off on Thursday. I imagined that in the next couple of days the marketers would get advice on that. The nice thing about the PPPRA, is that the price will be far below N87. So for the first time people will understand that the pricing modulation I was talking about is not a gimmick. It is for real.
We have gone to find out how we will be able fluctuate this market to reflect what the reality of crude market is. The objective is that one, we cannot afford to continue to subsidize. We can’t even understand where those subsidies were going to. There is a lot of fraud elements in it so we need to cut that of. The second is the earning capacity of the Federal Government is deteriorating by the day with lower prices of crude and come out more.”
