Why Kalu Should Be FIFA President - Fashanu

There are reports that former English football star John Fashanu has found love again in the arms of TV presenter Rachel Bakam after his three year old marriage with ex-wife Abigail Igwe hit rock bottom.

In this interview with Naij.com, the former Wimbledon star tells when the divorce saga with Abigail Igwe will be settled in court while also addressing the report of him in a new love affair with Rachel Bakam.
Fashanu also spoke about the appointment of Sunday Oliseh as coach of the Super Eagles, the exit of Stephen Keshi and the alleged ambition of the ex-governor Orji Uzor Kalu to be FIFA’s president.
What’s your take on the appointment of Sunday Oliseh as head coach of the Super Eagles?
Sunday Oliseh is a discipline young man, he’s got what it takes I believe. However what I think is a little bit unusual is that we pay Oliseh three months’ salary upfront (N15M), yet Stephen Keshi is suing the NFF N1billion for not paying his money.
So what do you think about the conflict between the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) currently led by Amaju Pinnick and Stephen Keshi?
There’s a little bit a challenge, I don’t understand why one coach is leaving but he’s not getting his money (Keshi) while the other is joining and his getting his money early (Oliseh). I will like to see this issue closed up quietly and diplomatically by the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick. There’s no doubt that Pinnick is a very disciplined person which I believe can turn our football around. He just needs some time to do that.
Are you interested in football administration in the future? Not at all, I don’t see myself in it in the nearest future.
Going down memory lanes, why did you turn down an offer to play for Nigeria?
I didn’t turn it down an offer to play for Nigeria. As a matter of fact, I came in twice. But some people didn’t want me, so I left. I also said to myself that I wouldn’t fit in here in Nigeria.
What was your best moment as a footballer?
FA Cup Final, Wimbledon against Liverpool. The result was one of the biggest shocks in the history of the competition as we won 1–0 to win the cup.
John Fashanu and the Wimbledon winning team of 1988.
And your worst moment? There are no worst moments in the life of a professional footballer, not even my injury was a bad moment for me. When you have over 60,000 people watching you, that’s an amazing feeling. So I’m lucky to say I have no bad memories.
Is it true you and TV Personality, Rachel Bakam are dating?
Well, I leave most of these things to the newspapers, they seem to know best. However, Rachael is a dear friend and a wonderful person.
What about the divorce saga with ur ex-wife, has it been finally settled in court?
That hasn’t been settled for now but we’re looking forward to that in the coming week.
There are reports that ex-governor Orji Uzor Kalu is gunning for the position of FIFA President and you are one of his supporters. How true is that?
Orji Uzor Kalu hasn’t told anybody that he will run for governor, but I (Fashanu) have suggested that he will be the right candidate for that position and probably the only one from this country.
Why do you think Orji Uzor Kalu is a right candidate for FIFA President Job?
Well, we are rallying to get Uzor Kalu in that position because we believe in him. He is the only capable of running for that position in this country and that’s because he’s very charismatic, he’s a billionaire as a businessmen and he has been active in the game obviously in Enyimba on two consecutive occasions which has never been repeated.
Let me tell you something quickly! As a footballer for many years, I’m aware of the fact that there are more politics in football than in politics itself and Kalu is someone that I believe can handle this situation and pressure.
I believe he built two stadiums as well, which again is unprecedented. So we support him but then again he must get the support from the Presidential Villa as the presidency must support him. So if the presidency passes the approval then we go ahead.
What about you, are there aspirations that are yet to be achieved?
Not at all for now, I’m a happy man for now.
Nice chatting with you John Fashanu
Thank you my brother.
Meanwhile, Orji Uzor Kalu’s decision to become the next FIFA president has lots of Nigerians excited but the top football body in the country is still yet to throw their support behind him.

Wardrobe Essentials: Jumpsuits

Wardrobe Essentials: JumpsuitsA Jumpsuit is one outfit every lady should have in her wardrobe. This look has been on for like forever and it will be for a long time.
A Jumpsuit can pass for a casual wear, office wear, party wear, it’s even stylish enough for the red carpet.
It’s suitable for all shapes and sizes, what is important is the cut and neckline. When buying your jumpsuit, you should consider the top (cuts, neck, sleeve) keep in mind you should choose what is best for your figure and shape; Bust line, torso, shoulder, hip, and waist.
Balance your look both at the top and bottom. If you have a slim or tiny waist, go for jumpsuit that hug your waistline and if your waist is thick, empire waist will be a good call, or a cut at the hip, below the waist.
If the top of your jumpsuit is fitted, the bottom should be flared, and vice-versa, except you are trying to look like cat woman! Go for fabrics that drape rather than skintight and if you are not a firewoman or a factory worker, then both top and bottom of your jumpsuit should not be too bogus. You can also throw on a jacket or blazer, a jacket can make the look more subtle and still flattering.
Your accessories is very important, the jumpsuit is a statement piece on its own, so don’t overwhelm your look with masses of layered jewelry. Jumpsuits can be accessorized with dangling earrings to statement necklaces, but be careful not to overdo it.

FASHION-Rules for wearing Animal Print

Rules for wearing Animal Print

When you look back, animal print was majorly worn by Ancient Africans, you know; Village heads, Royalties or Hunters. But this trend has somehow worked its way into the fashion world.
Animal prints have been around since the 60’s and it doesn’t look like it will be going out of style anytime soon. There’s something about it that screams Sexy, Fierce and Attractive all at the same time, but wearing animal print can be very risky, one mistake can take you from fashionista to fashion disaster so it’s important that you wear it right.
Tricks to wearing Animal prints the right way:

1.  Watch out for Double Prints

It’s a lot safer to avoid wearing double prints. Pair your animal prints with solid colors like black, red, yellow, purples, you name it! If you want to wear print without drawing so much attention to yourself, cool it down with a plain color.

2.  It is safe to know your Prints

Each animal skin has different spots, patterns, background colors, etc, that makes it easier when mixing or pairing your fabric. It is better to know what colors match your under tone prints.

3.  Over size it

Choose pieces that are faded, understated and not so tight for a casual look.
According to Lynn, a fashion blogger, A longer skirt just below the knee in leopard is sexier than a short one because the more you get out of the animal print the more elegant it looks.

4.  Wear it Differently

An animal print scarf, bag, shoes, necklace etc, all make for awesome accessories, but not all at the same time. Its safer to hit the spot in small doses unless you think you can make it work, because the print will swallow you whole.

5.  Accessorize wisely

Don’t let your accessories be in conflict with your animal prints. If you’re wearing animal print the rest of your outfit should be a bit simpler. Balance everything out and be sure to avoid over accessorizing your look.

6.  Freshen up your colors

Animal prints come in different colors, do something different by wearing animal patterns in hazy subdued colors. Go for a muted purple or gray for a more elegant and sophisticated look.

FASHION-7 Trendy Fashion Tips for Petite Women

7 Trendy Fashion Tips for Petite Women

As a petite lady, there are a few important fashion tips for your stature;

1. Embrace Monochromes

Wearing clothing with a single color. Wearing a single color clothing from head to toe creates an elongated figure. Too many colors and patterns make you look short and blocked.

2. Heels are your friend

Whether you want to add just a bit or a lot to your height, heeled shoes are the answers to your desires so you should embrace them. If you can’t walk in pin heels, go for wedges.

3. High waist clothing
High waist pant, skirt, short or dresses create the illusion of longer legs and thus a more elongated figure.

4. Less Horizontal more Vertical

clothing with horizontal patterns will instantly make you look shorter than you already are, so instead, take advantage of clothes with vertical patterns, it works better for your stature.

5. The V-neck and You

Wear more of V-necked tops; v-necked cardigan, or halter top. Balance a horizontal neckline with a vertical element like vertical pin-stripes, pleating, or a long necklace.

6. Less Baggy clothes

Stick with a fitted or relaxed style jean to accentuate your petite size. No baggy jeans, your legs will get lost in them. Knee length pants or 1/3s are not a good choice, go for hot pant or shorts. And for skirts and dresses, be sure to avoid midi, instead, go for mini or knee length. When rocking a Jumpsuit go for solid colors.

7. Accessories your size!

No large accessories for you! Wear small bags; choose bags with a relatively slim, vertical shape rather than chunky or wide styles. Thin color coordinated belts instead of wide belts in contrasting colors. Avoid large accessories such as large bags, chunky jewelry, and wide belts.

Signs That He is Into You!

RECOMMENDED READING: Signs that she is into You!
We all know that there comes a time in a relationship when ask ourselves this “Is he into me as much as am into him”? or “How can i tell if he likes me”? Well below are tips and signs stating when a guy is really into his chick. This applies for all men, white, black, albino, crustacean etc… lol.

How often does he call or text you.

Trust me, no matter how busy a guy gets if he’s into you he will make time to call or text you. Remember how busy you get and still get time to send a text? Well the same applies for a guy that is serious minded about a relationship. If he doesn’t call or text, Do Not respond by calling or texting him, it’s no use and you don’t want to be that “stalkish chick” who can’t just leave him be. It’s time to  move on.

He Lets You In.

Have you been dating for a few weeks and you are yet to meet with his friends? Then there’s a little problem. If he keeps hiding you from people he knows, that means your not that important to him. Hence, you are not qualified to meet those important to him. Moving On!

He Dates You.

A guy who wants you, would really “date” you. He would want to get to know you and be seen with you. Not just have sex and watch TV with you. It’s best not to have sexual relations with a guy you like till you both get to know each other at length.

He Shows How Much He Likes In You Public.

He holds your hand in public, doesn’t hesitate to peck you on the cheek or give you a full one on the lips. Doesn’t give you the “i don’t like public display of affection line”. If he doesn’t do all that you are in trouble oh! Never settle for less when it comes to relationships, although compromising for other things is also good in a relationship.

Constantly Talks About His Ex.

If he’s talking commitment with you and trust and a few months into the relationship settling down with you, calling you his wifey or girlfriend. He is into you. On the other hand, constant talks about his ex, how much fun they both had, heart breaks etc… If a guy is into you all that won’t even cross his mind. He would be really into You!
Dating can be so much fun with the right person. Do not settle for less when it comes to a relationship with a guy you like. He must equally do the hard work to  make IT work.

Women are not that Complicated

Women are not that Complicated

Women are not that complicated. How can any guy not understand us, we are just like open books, if you take your time to study us, you will see we are transparent, straightforward and just want our lives to be nice and easy.

Communicate with me

Don’t think we talk too much just because we want to share our feelings with you. You don’t even have to say anything, all we need is your undivided attention.

The Little Things

Every little detail matters to us. We want surprises! Send us gifts no matter how little. We love to celebrate every anniversary from first dates to longest argument, they are not silly to us. Please pay attention to our likes and dislikes, needs and expectations, every tiny thing is important and you will see we are not hard to live with.

Too Emotional

Girls are clearly more emotional, we cry when we are happy and do same when we are sad. We just need a shoulder to lean on.

We are not Snobbish

We see a nice, intelligent or hot guy and we can’t even hide our feelings (i could be lying here), a man with a nice sense of humor makes us feel comfortable to have a conversation. How can you say a girl is a snob when you have not even said a word to her.

Timeout

Sometimes we just want to have an adventure, do something different, and be spontaneous. it’s called taking a break!

Say something nice

How hard is it to say something like ‘you look beautiful’? It’s not like we asked you to follow us to the salon. We just want to be appreciated with honest compliments. Trust me, thats enough to keep us glowing all day long.

Why we Nag

Obviously, we sometimes want support and understanding. Women multitask a lot, and sometimes it drives us crazy – maybe it’s because the society expects too much from us and we hate to fail. We want a man who is ready to carry or at least share the weight of the relationship.

Not control Freaks

Just because we want to keep everything organized doesn’t mean we are control freaks, we just want our lives as well as our space to be nice and beautiful.

We love looking Good

We love to look our best most of the time and we are ever ready to spend a little money to achieve that, don’t judge us, it’s who we are. No lady wants a relationship with a man who doesn’t understand the importance of good grooming, i mean – put on a nice suit for our date, get a nice haircut, change your underwear once a day.

Not a Gold Digger

The fact that we want a man who is ambitious and successful doesn’t make us gold-diggers. We are just trying to secure our future.
Now tell me what do you think? Are we complicated?
