StarTimes Unveils Extra Special Offer For Subscribers




Leading digital TV provider, StarTimes Nigeria has announced a new offer called “Extra Special Offer” which allows its existing subscribers recharge on any bouquet before due date and be rewarded with extra viewing days free in multiples of the number of months paid.


With this development, subscribers will enjoy three days (72 hours) extra free viewing per month for every recharge before due date cumulatively.

The new nationwide offer which commences from 1st February till 30th April, 2016 will offer subscribers six days (144hours) of free extra viewing upon recharge for two months, nine days (216hours) of free extra viewing upon recharge for three months and for one year subscription before due date, subscriber gets as much as 36 days (876hours) of extra free viewing after the main recharge period.

This fresh offer is available on either digital terrestrial and digital satellite packages and on any bouquet including Nova, Basic, Classic and Unique (digital terrestrial) and on Nova, Smart and Super (digital satellite). Subscribers can also recharge via online platforms and get the extra viewing bonus.


StarTimes Marketing Director, Mr. Oludare Kafar, said the special offer is designed to reward loyal StarTimes subscribers for continuous recharge, encourage subscribers to pay before their due dates and gain more free viewing time to make up for entertainment period lost to power failure challenges.


“With this new promo, our subscribers get rewarded for loyalty with three days extra free view for every one month recharge cumulatively after the main recharge period. They also gain opportunities for more free viewing time to make up for entertainment period lost to power failure challenges. Our desire is to encourage Nigerians to embrace digital TV more, enjoy great entertainment moments with families and friends and join the digital TV generation in Nigeria as part of plans to guide the nation seamlessly into the digital TV switch over in 2017.



Kafar also remarked that StarTimes has recently launched new channels, Emmanuel TV and IDX to spice up its entertainment and religious offerings.



“Emmanuel TV and IDX have just landed on StarTimes platform and will further spice up our entertainment and religious offerings. While Emmanuel TV (religion) can be viewed on channel 454, IDX (crime documentary) can be viewed on channel 334, both channels are on both digital terrestrial and satellite.


Emmanuel TV is one of Africa’s largest Christian television networks owned by the Synagogue Church Of All Nations showing various religious programs with global followership while IDX is a documentary style crime channel showing factual mystery and suspense drama. With IDX viewers will be kept entertained on the edge of their seats and get a chance under the skin of unsolved mysteries.
